Family business since 2011

About Tarimas y Parquets Angulo

A family flooring business in Burgos. The Angulo family has been doing every kind of flooring work since 2011: sanding, wood flooring and parquet, in homes, communities and businesses across Burgos and its province.

Our Story and Experience

Tarimas y Parquets Angulo is a family business: the Angulo family has worked with wood floors in Burgos since 2011, and the trade has been handed down from generation to generation. It grew out of hands-on work fitting floors in the kind of buildings you actually find in this city: old blocks in Gamonal and Capiscol with uneven terrazzo underneath, historic flats in the Casco Histórico with original wood floors worth restoring rather than ripping out, and newer developments in Villímar built with underfloor heating already installed.

That variety of jobs is what shaped the way we work: checking the actual subfloor before quoting, choosing the right system for each surface — floating floors, glued or nailed parquet, vinyl and SPC — and never treating two jobs as identical just because the square metres are similar.

Burgos has a demanding climate for wood flooring: very dry, cold winters with central heating running for months, and hot summers, which means materials expand and contract more than in milder climates. Respecting acclimatisation times and expansion joints is not an optional extra here, it is what keeps a floor from creaking, cupping or lifting a year later.

What has not changed over the years is the way we approach every job: we are responsible and keep our word on time, we visit the property before quoting, we give a clear written quote, and we do not consider a job finished until the client has walked the floor and is happy with the result. Today we still work hard to uphold the Angulo name.

How We Work

Our work is based on an honest assessment of the existing floor, careful preparation and materials chosen for how the space is actually used.

Honesty

We explain what the subfloor actually needs before quoting, including any levelling, moisture checks or acclimatisation time that a lower quote might skip.

Preparation

A floor that lasts starts before the first plank goes down: checking planimetry, moisture, subfloor condition and leaving the material to acclimatise.

Durability

We choose the wear class, thickness and installation method according to the room and its use, not only by appearance or price.

Our Installation Process

The same basic method applies to homes, communities, businesses and any type of flooring we install.

1

Inspection and planimetry

We check the subfloor with a level, measure moisture where relevant and identify any areas that need levelling before installation.

2

Acclimatisation

We leave the material in the property for the time it needs to adjust to the room temperature and humidity before opening the packs.

3

Installation and expansion joints

We install the floor with the underlay, click or glued system and expansion joints suited to the room size and the building.

4

Finish and final review

We fit skirting boards and trims, clean the site and walk the finished floor with the client before closing the job.

Materials and Systems

We work with laminate flooring AC4 to AC6, solid and multilayer wood, vinyl and SPC, water-based and polyurethane varnishes, and specific underlays for underfloor heating when the project requires it.

Floating floors

  • Laminate flooring AC4, AC5 and AC6
  • Multilayer wood flooring
  • Acoustic underlay foam
  • Underfloor-heating-compatible underlay

Parquet and solid wood

  • Solid oak and other hardwood parquet
  • Parquet adhesive for glued installation
  • Water-based and oil finishes
  • Sanding equipment for restoration

Vinyl, SPC and repairs

  • Rigid-core SPC vinyl flooring
  • Levelling compound for uneven subfloors
  • Moisture meters for on-site checks
  • Matching skirting boards and transition profiles

Meet the Angulo family

Before Hiring a Flooring Installer

A serious quote should be clear, written and specific to the real condition of your floor.

1

Ask for a written quote

It should include the subfloor preparation, materials, underlay, expansion joints, timing and payment conditions.

2

Ask about the wear class and thickness

AC4, AC5 or AC6, solid wood or multilayer: the right choice depends on the room and how much traffic it gets, not only the price per square metre.

3

Be careful with very low prices

They may hide skipped acclimatisation time, missing levelling work or a thinner, less durable material.

4

Ask if the floor is suitable for underfloor heating

Not every laminate or wood floor is, and installing the wrong one can reduce heating efficiency or damage the material.

Shall we talk about your floor?

Tell us what you need and we will arrange a visit to check the subfloor and prepare a clear no-obligation quote.
